This message is not intended to judge or offend anyone, but to bring to light what constitutes Sin in the eyes of the Lord. Many are not aware that He disapproves of certain activities they indulge in. Gladly, all sins listed (but one) are forgivable.
What should a person who has committed any of these sins do to be forgiven? Read on!
"This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these (Galatians 5:16-21)
Other forms of Sexual Immorality (such as Sodomy - 1 Corinthians 6:9, Romans 1:26–27)
Lasciviousness (Lustful Pleasures - Nudity being one)
Emulations (Jealous Rivalry)
Wrath (Fits of rage)
Strife (Dispute, Selfish Ambition)
Heresy (Opposing Christian Beliefs/Doctrine)
Murder (Slander and hatred for a fellow believer inclusive - 1 John 3:15)
Reveling (Wild Partying)
Causing others to stumble/sin (Luke 17:1)
Likewise, the seven things that the Lord hates [Proverbs 6:16-19]
A Proud Look
A Lying Tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that devises wicked schemes
Feet that are quick to rush to evil
A False Witness that speaks lies
He that stirs up discord among brethren
Likewise, the sins the Lord stated in the Book of Revelation [Revelation 21:8]
Likewise, the only Unforgivable Sin [Matthew 12:31-32]
Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Speaking against the Holy Spirit; Denying Him; Cursing Him; Attributing evil to Him; Willfully degrading things that relate to Him).
If I missed any, please add them.
(Text from Galatians Continued: Galatians 5:21-26) …of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONG-SUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."
THE GOOD NEWS
The Bible says: The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). All sins deserve judgement - but for the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ, we shall be judged. In Christ, we have redemption through His Blood, by which our sins are forgiven (Ephesians 1:7). He alone is our Righteousness. It is not God's wish for anyone to perish (John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9). Repent and surrender completely to Jesus to be cleansed of your sins and forgiven. Then, commit to living a lifestyle of holiness.
