THE 'HALF-A-CHRISTIAN' STATUS
It is important to surrender all to Jesus Christ, not some, for your victory to be complete in Him. Sometimes we leave certain areas of our lives out of His control when we say, "Jesus, I surrender to you." Doing this implies that you are not sure that He is capable of being the Pillar of your life. It could also be that you still want to say, "Hello" to satan occasionally, just in case Jesus fails. Afterall, you are not familiar with Jesus yet (you think) - you just met Him. You are all familiar with how it works on the other side though, you think again. So, you play safe!
The truth is that you got on satan’s list of 'Most Wanted Traitors' the moment you ran to Jesus. If you are not fully in Christ, satan is only waiting to give you some good beating for leaving his territory in the first place. He will strike (and harder this time) if you remain an uncommitted Christian. He will come back with a bunch of stronger demons to make things worse than they were before you turned your life over to Jesus (Matthew 12:43-45).
You need to truthfully call satan's bluff, say, "Goodbye!" to the world, and surrender completely to Jesus for all to be well with you. Jesus has the power to make just about anything happen for you. He holds the key to all things (Revelation 3:7-8). However, He requires your undivided commitment before you experience changes.
It is dangerous to be a lukewarm Christian (Read Revelation 3:15-16). Leave the things of the world to the people of the world, beloved, and rededicate your life to the Lord. You owe no one an explanation for saying, "I surrender to You Jesus," all over again. It’s your life! On that great day, it will be just you and the Judge of the living and the dead. Repent and surrender completely to Him even this minute, to be more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37-39).
Shalom, good people!
