THE 'REAL YOU' OR THE 'CONTROLLED YOU'?

Updated: Nov 3, 2021

God created you as His shining star. He gave you gifts and talents for His glory. He certainly did not create you a robot; so, why allow drugs, alcohol, and other mind-altering substances control you?

A talent enhanced with a form of addiction is no longer a talent. This means that you can no longer claim to be talented or good at what you do, no matter how many fans you have and the glowing tributes you get from them. Fans want a good time and will give, and say anything to get it. They have nothing to lose. Think about this for a minute: Is that you performing or the substance in you?

Substance abuse has long-term damaging effects that could send you to an early grave or render you miserable for the rest of your life. What’s more, it is a sin by itself (1 Corinthians 3:16-17), spiritually-damaging (1 Peter 4:7), and a lifestyle that begets other sins (Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

The Good News

Are you a celebrity of some sort: a musician, performing artist, creative artist, athlete, speaker, producer, business owner, or professional? I have good news for you - GOD created you in His own image and wants you to attain your full potential in life (Genesis 1:26-27). He is not the enemy. Turn over your life to Jesus Christ today to fulfill your glorious destiny. He is the strength that you need (Philippians 4:13, John 15:5).

Firmly in His Grip,
