Did You Hear Right?

God can choose to give you a revelation of His plans for you to be a useful vessel beforehand, to build your faith. What He reveals to you could be so huge, that it seems unachievable; but it is. He would not need to build your faith in the first place, if what He plans to call you to do is achievable by your own power. Simply trust Him and follow as He leads.
How can you tell if a revelation is not from God?
If the revelation contradicts the truth of God, then it is not from Him. For example, He will not tell you to play the lottery and use the proceeds to fund a ministry or embark on a project for His glory. He will not tell you to divorce your current 'Unholy spouse’ and marry another 'Holy' one to succeed in what He has committed into your hands. Now, these are just a few examples. Some believers have also implied that God approved of them taking out loans to build a church or other edifices. This is a questionable one, as it is not God’s will that we get ourselves into debts and put undue pressure on those who support us. That said, we would rather not judge, but admonish you to tread carefully and spend time seeking clarity from the Lord in prayer.
Truly, God will never tell you to do anything that contradicts His Word. May we be guided, beloved.
Shalom!
