A CHECKLIST OF SINS
See our Repentance Images here for more on these sins and other sins, Bible verses with commentaries, consequences of sin, and how to be forgiven.
This message is not intended to judge or offend anyone, but to bring to light what constitutes Sin in the eyes of the Lord. Many are not aware that He disapproves of certain activities they indulge in. Gladly, all sins listed (but one) are forgivable.
What should a person who has committed any of these sins do to be forgiven? Read on!
"This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. (Text from Galatians Continued: Galatians 5:21-26)… of which I forewarn you, as I have also forewarned you in time past, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONG-SUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."
THE GOOD NEWS
The Bible says: The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). All sins deserve the wrathful judgment of God, but for His saving grace in His Son, Jesus Christ. In Christ, we have redemption through His Blood, by which our sins are forgiven (Ephesians 1:7). He alone is our Righteousness. It is not God's wish for anyone to perish (John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9). Repent and surrender completely to Jesus to be cleansed of your sins and forgiven. Then commit to living a lifestyle of holiness.
Firmly in His Grip,
Deborah O Daniel (Toyin)
