Deborah O Daniel (Toyin) is an Evangelist and a Christian Writer. She grew up in a strict, religiously confused household, but found Christ on her own, when it became clear to her that she had no relationship whatsoever with Him and had no purpose in life, in spite of her upbringing. Deborah surrendered her life to Christ in 1992 but kept running from her calling owing to the severe trials she faced and the cares of the world, until she had a personal encounter with Him years later. She steps out of her comfort zone as led to fulfil her calling. She also speaks openly about her childhood difficulties and the struggles she has had in life, to testify of the mercy of God and His awesome power. Do We Listen When God Speaks to Us?

We tend to take the grace of God for granted, sometimes; but He loves us, still, and uses our stubbornness and laxity to train us. Things are bound to get ugly when we refuse to heed His warning. Gladly, He heals us again. It is said that, when God speaks to you once, you have His Grace. When He speaks twice on the same issue, then you have His special Grace. This testimony may, or may not be beneficial to you, but here it is:

Some years ago, the Lord revealed a family friend to me. In the revelation, this friend suddenly became very unfriendly and cruel, for no reason at all. I took it casually. "How can that be? I’ve been good to this family. He's a nice person", I thought. Then, I got a warning in a dream again. This time, it was a persistent nudge (a reminder, so to speak). As usual, I paid no attention to it.

A year later, what was revealed to me came to pass. In fact, it would have been the most emotionally devastating experience for me, orchestrated by this person and his wife, just to steal my joy, if the Lord was not on my side. As I sat on my bed thinking, "Where did this come from Lord; I didn't see it coming", the Holy Spirit quietly responded: "You didn't? Do you remember this?" I quickly closed my eyes and went to sleep to avoid asking further unnecessary questions that could get me in trouble.

How faithful our Father is, beloved. All glory to the All-Knowing and the Only Wise God! May our spiritual eyes and ears be open to receive.
