THE GOOD NEWS BEARER

"What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; and what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops." ~ Matthew 10:27

Deborah O Daniel (Toyin) is an Evangelist and a Christian Writer. She grew up in a strict, religiously confused household, but found Christ on her own, when it became clear to her that she had no relationship whatsoever with Him and had no purpose in life, in spite of her upbringing. Deborah surrendered her life to Christ in 1992 but kept running from her calling owing to the severe trials she faced and the cares of the world, until she had a personal encounter with Him years later. She steps out of her comfort zone as led to fulfil her calling. She also speaks openly about her childhood difficulties and the struggles she has had in life, to testify of the mercy of God and His awesome power. For more messages and a heart talk on living a fulfilled life in Christ, get the book, Walk the Winning Walk (English-British and English-American) here, offered for free by Divine Literature International, and available to Born-again Christians ONLY - particularly new believers.

This Blog is written in Standard British English for the benefit of international visitors. Style of Writing is casual and conversational!

Honouring God

God will honour those who honour Him, and treat those who despise Him with contempt, just as He said (1 Samuel 2:30). He honours His loved ones in amazing ways, and has a lot stored up for us.

How do we honour God?

We honour God when we are intentional about loving, pleasing, and serving Him. He will honour us when we honour His Word and Commands. He also loves it when we honour Him with our resources, gifts, talents, time, all that we have, and all that we are without restrictions. He gave them to us for His glory.

When do we despise God?

We despise God when we do exactly the opposite. Also, if you are using all that He put in you or entrusted to you for vain and unworthy purposes, you need to retrace your steps while there is time. The good news is that He is rich in mercy, willing to forgive and forget our shortcomings. We can still make things right with God while we are alive; but when it’s time to go, that’s it! There will be no more chances to make things right.

These are the last days, and times are going to get even more perilous until Christ comes for us, His Bride. There is nothing the world system can do to bring the much-talked-about change – it’s not their call. Not even the smartest President in the world can do anything about it. You might as well do your part with what God has blessed you with, to rescue perishing souls and prepare them for the second coming of Christ. You do not have to have $1m stashed up in your Bank Account before you acknowledge how richly blessed you are, as a child of God and a joint heir with Christ Jesus. You may, on the other hand, have $1m stashed up now, and enrich the pockets of doctors and health specialists with it down the road.

Life becomes empty and meaningless when we do not honour the One who created and blessed us with the good things of life. This is why we find many people falling into the trap satan set for them – taking refuge in drugs and alcohol, falling into depression, living a reckless lifestyle, and committing suicide, after having achieved a lot in life. May we be guided.

Shalom!
